Sunset Iridescence
41” x 50” x 2.5” framed
block-printed paper quilt
When creating this piece I set out to find what colors captured summer to me the most. For me, it was those afternoons when we are in the water until the sun sets because there are no worries about school the next day. This piece which I named “Sunset’s Iridescence” is an ode to those last glorious moments of a west side day when you see the ocean shimmer a pearly pink and everything is illuminated in a magical glow.
